This week we had the pleasure of having IBM’s Scott Schaffer and Becky Waddell come in to talk about their new Performance Marketing division. IBM is a global company with 380,000 employees meaning it is very flexible to go across different careers within the company, and in several locations around the world. The Performance marketing division is made up of around five hundred people based in Astor Place, NYC and Austin, TX.
The clients of the Performance marketing division are other IBMers within the company. The division is aimed at making IBM marketing more data driven and client centric with smart data analytics, innovative strategies, and intuitive design principles. With these the next generation of tools and platforms for IBM marketers are created and given to all the IBMers across different geographical locations. This allows for a more seamless experience within IBM, but still gives the offices in different locations the flexibility to cater to a more specific audience by region.
