What does Marketing Society mean to you?
I first heard about Marketing Society through our current president, Jacqueline, during my freshman year. Becoming more involved during my sophomore year, MktSoc was where I realized that I have a passion for marketing. Each weekly meeting when I get to speak with members and speakers, opens my eyes to new possibilities.
Marketing Society means a lot to me because it is also where I met some of my best friends, especially through the Mentorship Program (Shoutout to my mentees, "The Five Musketeers":The best mentee group!)
What’s your favorite part of being on the board?
The Marketing Society's executive board is a family. We laugh, cry, and yell at each other like any crazy family should. Together we form such a diverse group of individuals, constantly pushing each other beyond our limits to make this club and our experience here at NYU better than ever.
What kind of marketing do you want to do?
I want to do experiential, event, or field marketing. Working directly with the consumer and making that hands on experience memorable is what I am really passionate about.
Have you held any cool internships?
In the spring of 2014, I went abroad to Madrid and interned at the Rock 'n' Roll Madrid Marathon. I worked for four months on the marketing and communications team, promoting and planning for race day. Getting a chance to work tirelessly behind the scenes and then seeing on Race Day how the event seamlessly unfolded was beautiful. This internship made me realize the value in depending on your team and having a passion for what you do everyday.
What advice can you bestow to our awesome MktSoc members?
Life is short. Do what makes you happy not what others think would make you
